Central Lumber Corporation (CLC) is a company with a 75-year history. Founded in 1946 as a pure lumber company, CLC today transacts business throughout the Philippines. Being a manufacturer, importer, distributor, and retailer, CLC is driven by its core purpose of taking the lead in providing innovative products for the homes of the future. Cesar C. Sinco, the patriarch of CLC, laid out what would be the basic path of CLC: "If given a choice between two businesses, one passive and the other one active, both earning the same profit, choose the one that creates jobs."
As such, CLC has over 400 employees working together through its core values of integrity, respect, passion for work, continuous improvement, and being experts in the areas where we compete. Today, CLC conducts business via its distribution network in Manila, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao and via its retail branches in Cebu. CLC Wholesale team markets and distributes up to 1,000 products of brands such as Gardner TPI, Eastberg GM, Oregon Wood, Armourwood, CLC Mouldings, White Shield, Geigher Metal Frames, and Integra Doors all over the Philippines.
CLC Retail team caters to the architects, contractors, developers, and homeowners of Cebu. With over 160,000 products of numerous local and imported brands, CLC Retail provides a complete line of construction materials to its customers. CLC manufactures its own line of timber products with 100% of its raw materials imported from other countries. Imported timber is sourced from renewable resources such as plantation-grown timber forests. CLC manufactures a wide range of timber products, from mouldings and claddings to decks, floors, stairs, jambs, doors, and framings.
CLC also manufactures its own line of metal frames, Geigher. The Geigher plant in Cebu has 7 roll forming lines capable of producing 32 million meters per year and serves customers in Visayas and Mindanao. Geigher is the first Philippine-manufactured gold metal frame that provides an extra layer of protection from corrosion and moisture.
CLC formed a close-knit relationship with TPI Thailand when both companies agreed to co-brand Gardner TPI. This relationship flourished further through the years as Gardner TPI continued its strong expansion and growth in the Philippines with a wide range of fiber cement products, including fiber cement boards, fiber cement wood, and personal fiber cement (PFC). CLC partnered with GM Gypsum to co-brand Eastberg GM and offer a variety of products to the Philippine market. Eastberg GM gypsum products range from the regular board Standard Pro to specialty boards like Moisture Resistant, Fire Resistant, Curve Pro, Impact Pro, Heat Shield, and Echo Shield, as well as accessories like jointing compound and screws.
