MOTORPOOL SUPERVISOR

You are responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and scheduling of a fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and used efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the vehicle fleet and motorpool facility.
  • Schedule and track vehicle use, maintenance, and inspections.
  • Supervise drivers, mechanics, and support staff; assign duties and shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, repairs, and costs.
  • Monitor inventory of parts, tools, and fuel; assist with budgeting and procurement.
  • Train staff on safety procedures and proper vehicle operation.
  • Report on fleet performance, issues, and recommendations to management.

Qualifications:

  • At least a graduate of any four-year course
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in motorpool operations, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory capacity
  • Proven ability to manage and direct the work of skilled mechanics
  • With extensive knowledge in diesel trucks (6-wheeler to 10-wheeler)
  • Knowledgeable in forklift mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Experienced in overhauling and under chassis systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions
  • Detail-oriented with excellent critical thinking capabilities
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
